A friend of mine recently got diagnosed with cancer so she has been my inspiration for a lot of things recently. We play Minecraft together so when I found a bald girl model on Sketchfab, it was a no brainer. This is the first project I have ever made in Unreal so it will likely change heavily moving forward but I got to test some random galaxy materials on the floating objects and learned to import assets from different sites. I went with the low poly aesthetic but will likely shift towards a more 1940's steampunk cartoon look moving forward
Unfortunately the asset of the bald Minecraft girl is a .gltf file but it is already rigged and hopefully I will learn to use Maya with it to go through the .fbx conversion pipeline. The floating galaxy objects are actually there because I need to attach them to mocap trackers for a demo I am making for Todd for October 3rd
Although it wasn't really an intended social commentary, the social icons in addition to her stranded on an island does feel like it carries some weight with her current situation
